This class is designed for children who have taken ballet classes and have mastered the fundamentals. They will learn to demonstrate and use emotion through dance and music.
Dancers will work on poise, grace, stability at the barre and at center. The class will work on Ballet progressions from basic foot work to jumps and turns.The more advanced classes cover the more challenging level of classical ballet technique and are reserved for students with previous ballet training.
This class is designed for students who want to explore the world of Broadway and Musical Theater. Classes include creative movement, song, acting, and dance. It promotes confidence and self esteem.
Rise Up provides professional dance training for kids 6+ and adults. We offer a structured curriculum designed to teach excellent dance technique and form while promoting strength and flexibility, encouraging commitment, instilling grace and fostering a life long love and appreciation of dance. For those who seek furthering their training we offer performing and competing dance companies. They are invitational and require commitment to competing and performing.
Acro is a great way to improve strength, flexibility and agility. Beginner acro tricks will be taught and incorporated into dance: cartwheels, walkovers, scales, basic tumbling and partnering.
This class concentrates on achieving proper technique when doing different kinds of leaps and while turning. Teacher permission required to join.
One hour jazz class usually done to popular music. Body isolations, stretch, turning, leaping and technical steps are taught in this class. More advanced levels of jazz dance require instructor permission to join and integrate contemporary jazz style while exploring increasingly difficult traveling, turn, and jump combinations. Students will gain stronger self-awareness as they are challenged to explore musicality and performance qualities.
